MEDIATED COMMUNICATION
This book explores the major developments in communication technology
from the 1800s to today as well as both positive and negative effects
of those developments. A motion piece was also created to promote the book, and

Humans have always found ways to communicate with each other. We've used everything
from cave paintings to social networking. People have always been concerned with
changes in communication technology. Socrates was afraid of the impact writing
would have on people's ability to think. Thousands of years later, we're worried
about how technology impacts our lives, but is that fear really necessary?
